The Business Communication Center
The Business Communication Center is a school-wide resource located in 3127 McColl and open during the academic year. Staffed by graduate consultants with strong communication skills, the Center offers free one-on-one and group consultations that address both written and spoken communication.

Job Search Skills
Perhaps no communication task will challenge students more than writing cover letters and resumes for the interviews and jobs they seek. To help students meet this challenge, the BSBA Communication Program offers students numerous resources and opportunities for practice.
Specifically, the BSBA Communication Program gives students the opportunity to write cover letters in their business communication classes for critical feedback from professors.
In addition, students can take advantage of the Job Search Skills Workshop held near the beginning of each semester. Recruiters from companies such as BB&T, GlaxoSmithKline, and Ernst & Young give an "insider's look" at the recruiting process. These recruiters talk about the cover letters and resumes that get their attention and the kinds of interviewing techniques they find effective. After the experience, students know not only how to target a cover letter and resume to get the interview they want, but they also know what goes into a successful interview.
Every semester, students participate in Mock Interview Day. A dozen recruiters from companies along the East Coast interview every student enrolled in BUSI401. That's 180 students! After "applying" for one of the positions provided by the recruiters, students interview for that position and then get valuable, honest feedback about their interviewing strengths and opportunities.
