​Welcome to the Marketing Department of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

​Our Marketing faculty conduct managerially relevant research using rigorous empirical and analytical techniques, create synergy between research and teaching, and impact the business community and society by actively disseminating insights.

​Our area is a global leader in the field of empirical modeling and a destination department for marketing scholars who have a genuine interest in combining managerial relevance with academic rigor. Our faculty members are active in major professional organizations (e.g., American Marketing Association, INFORMS, European Marketing Academy) and our research is published in top-notch marketing journals (Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science) as well as in other top business journals. Our faculty includes the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Marketing Research as well as the Chairman-Elect of the American Marketing Association. The impact of our work also shows up in our high level of citations, which averages 1250 per faculty member per year.
