Duke University and the University of North Carolina organized the 2nd Duke-UNC Asset Pricing Conference, designed to bring together leading scholars in the field. The symposium was held in Durham on Friday afternoon, Dec 7, and Saturday, Dec 8, 2007.

October 2007: Robert Engle (NYU) and Eric Ghysels (UNC) co-founded The Society for Financial Econometrics SoFiE (www.nyu.edu/sofie).
Journal of Financial Economics best paper contest awards the Jensen Prize for Corporate Finance and Organizations to Anil Shivdasani.
Pab Jotikasthira wins Barbara Clark-Edward Award for doctoral students with his proposal "Why do Term Structures in Different Currencies Move Together?"
